Jacques charakter

• As Jacques has trouble with his computer (surely not a MAC ;) ), I post his latest photographs of his new harness. Great work, as usual. :) Here they are: The only thing you *really* need to do is put some modding on the bright, clean shoulder leather part. (of course, scratch and scarr and dirt the surface and bla bla bla... ) Personally, I would make it less (about 10cm) wide, so that it covers not the entire shoulder. Another idea would be: attach more leather loops with rivets, as if you wanted to use them to hold an additional belt or other stuff. (I wouldn't *really* use it for that purpose, of course, it's not nice to carry around tools and stuff on your shoulder. But I would want it to look like it.) Some of them could be lose, or ripped open, or look like rivets have fallen out, so that the whole thing looks more worn after your final touches. You could also let a buckle hang off from it, as if another shoulder part was meant to be buckled on... But I'm sure you will find a great solution. :) (I would also leave out the fur: I have never seen well-made modded fur. If you try to "wear it down", you would have to rip out most of the hair, which would leave you with a very thin hide that rips easily and wouldn't survive a day on a con. If you don't, it will puff up and mostly look like out of proportion. If you use non-sticky paint like wall paint, it will always fall off and spread the dust everywhere but not on itself ;), if you use sticky paint like acrylic paint to tap down the fluffyness, it will become stiff and coarse as a board, and you will want to rip off the lumps of clogged hair (not to mention that it will hold wetness, and soak up real dirt and probably smell like a pack of muties after a while AND YOU WOULDN'T WANT THAT, WOULD YOU...? ;) )
• Your work is simply stunning Jacques. Btw: To weather the leather ... I always use bees wax ;) ... simply use a hot-air gun and let the wax drip onto the leather/rub it on ... it turns it quite a bit darker and looks pretty cool!
